Vanilla pen device Coil in Bristol: the online shortlist
Vanilla in Bristol: 10 units tested over 8 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
How we tested Vanilla pen device here
The honest read on vanilla: 10 units through the same routine over 8 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
A vanilla pen device from the online options in Bristol costs about £2.63 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The short version: vanilla in Bristol works if the pen device, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a vanilla pen device really costs in Bristol
We run vanilla the same way in Bristol: same pen device, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested vanilla in a pen device
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 2–4 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pen device arrives sealed but wrong.
- Stock depth: 10 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where vanilla goes wrong
- Treating the advertised £28 entry kit as the real cost when refills run £2.63 per 10 ml.
- Assuming 20 mg/mL is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Mixing vanilla with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
