How to tell a good refill pack from a repack
Tropical prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Bristol that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within £2.84 per 10 ml.
Tropical in Bristol reaches the shelf in refill pack formats, and the discounted ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
The short version: tropical in Bristol works if the refill pack, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.

How we tested tropical in a refill pack
- Pick the refill pack that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Batch code and production date, so a tropical bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every tropical bottle shipped into Bristol.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 2–4 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Coil type inside the refill pack, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Treating the advertised £52 entry kit as the real cost when refills run £2.84 per 10 ml.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Bristol accept nicotine freight.
- Buying the cheapest refill pack available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in the UK sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is 20 mg/mL. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Why does tropical taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the refill pack units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the tropical blend itself harsh.
How long does tropical in a refill pack last?
In Bristol we measured 7 to 8 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
How much does a refill pack cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Bristol: about £2.84 per 10 ml liquid plus £52 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
