Tropical RDA Coil in Bristol: the order shortlist
Tropical in Bristol: 23 units tested over 8 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
Coil life, liquid cost and the tropical habit
The honest read on tropical: 23 units through the same routine over 8 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Tropical prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Bristol that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within £2.77 per 10 ml.
The short version: tropical in Bristol works if the RDA, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a tropical RDA really costs in Bristol
We run tropical the same way in Bristol: same RDA, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested tropical in a RDA
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the RDA that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a RDA arrives sealed but wrong.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Spare parts availability for RDA in Bristol, since tanks and pods go first.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every tropical bottle shipped into Bristol.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Mixing tropical with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised £34 entry kit as the real cost when refills run £2.77 per 10 ml.
- Ignoring the batch date on a RDA and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
UK rules cap e-liquids at 10 ml and 20 mg/ml, with batch codes on every bottle.
Wholesale lines to the UK need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Not automatically. On tropical the budget price and the premium price can sit within £2.77 per 10 ml once 2–4 business days is counted.
How much does a RDA cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Bristol: about £2.77 per 10 ml liquid plus £34 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
