Sour starter kit Coil in Bristol: the budget shortlist
Sour in Bristol: 8 units tested over 8 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
Ordering Coil to Bristol: the practical version
Sour in a starter kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Bristol the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
We run sour the same way in Bristol: same starter kit, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: sour in Bristol works if the starter kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a sour starter kit really costs in Bristol
A sour starter kit from the budget options in Bristol costs about £1.95 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested sour in a starter kit
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Batch code and production date, so a sour bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the starter kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a starter kit arrives sealed but wrong.
Where sour goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sour tastes flat after two days.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Bristol accept nicotine freight.
- Mixing sour with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in the UK sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is 20 mg/mL. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
UK rules cap e-liquids at 10 ml and 20 mg/ml, with batch codes on every bottle.

Frequently asked questions
Can I order Coil online in Bristol?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 2–4 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
How long does sour in a starter kit last?
In Bristol we measured 8 to 8 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
What nicotine strength should sour start at?
Start at whatever the UK allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a starter kit.
