Plum starter kit Coil in Bristol: the guide shortlist
Plum in Bristol: 11 units tested over 7 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
Plum in a starter kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Bristol the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Plum prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Bristol that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within £2.89 per 10 ml.
The short version: plum in Bristol works if the starter kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a plum starter kit really costs in Bristol
A plum starter kit from the starter options in Bristol costs about £2.89 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested plum in a starter kit
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plum bottle shipped into Bristol.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a starter kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Coil type inside the starter kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where plum goes wrong
- Treating the advertised £49 entry kit as the real cost when refills run £2.89 per 10 ml.
- Mixing plum with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Buying the cheapest starter kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
UK rules cap e-liquids at 10 ml and 20 mg/ml, with batch codes on every bottle.
Packaging for plum in Bristol must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
