Plum RDA Coil in Bristol: the best shortlist
Plum in Bristol: 14 units tested over 3 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
Where buyers go wrong with plum in Bristol
We run plum the same way in Bristol: same RDA, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Plum prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Bristol that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within £1.61 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the RDA you buy decides how long plum tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a plum RDA really costs in Bristol
A plum RDA from the best options in Bristol costs about £1.61 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested plum in a RDA
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plum bottle shipped into Bristol.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a RDA arrives sealed but wrong.
- Spare parts availability for RDA in Bristol, since tanks and pods go first.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where plum goes wrong
- Mixing plum with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long plum in Bristol survives.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Bristol accept nicotine freight.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should plum start at?
Start at whatever the UK allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a RDA.
Why does plum taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the RDA units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the plum blend itself harsh.
