Plain prefilled pod Coil in Bristol: the flat shortlist
Plain in Bristol: 13 units tested over 8 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
Plain prefilled pod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 13 units and 8 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
The honest read on plain: 13 units through the same routine over 8 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
The short version: plain in Bristol works if the prefilled pod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a plain prefilled pod really costs in Bristol
Most people searching Coil in Bristol are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
How we tested plain in a prefilled pod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Batch code and production date, so a plain bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Stock depth: 13 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Coil type inside the prefilled pod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where plain goes wrong
- Assuming 20 mg/mL is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Mixing plain with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised £43 entry kit as the real cost when refills run £3.33 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for plain in Bristol must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
UK rules cap e-liquids at 10 ml and 20 mg/ml, with batch codes on every bottle.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a prefilled pod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Bristol: about £3.33 per 10 ml liquid plus £43 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does plain taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the prefilled pod units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the plain blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should plain start at?
Start at whatever the UK allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a prefilled pod.
