Plain pod kit Coil in Bristol: the flat shortlist
Plain in Bristol: 12 units tested over 6 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
What the label on Plain is allowed to say
Plain in Bristol reaches the shelf in pod kit formats, and the flat-rate ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
We run plain the same way in Bristol: same pod kit, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the pod kit you buy decides how long plain tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a plain pod kit really costs in Bristol

How we tested plain in a pod kit
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Batch code and production date, so a plain bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pod kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plain bottle shipped into Bristol.
- Stock depth: 12 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where plain goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest pod kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why plain tastes flat after two days.
- Treating the advertised £64 entry kit as the real cost when refills run £3.08 per 10 ml.

Why does plain taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pod kit units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the plain blend itself harsh.
Is plain legal to sell in the UK?
UK rules cap e-liquids at 10 ml and 20 mg/ml, with batch codes on every bottle.
