Mint refill pack Coil in Bristol: the price shortlist
Mint in Bristol: 16 units tested over 3 weeks, refill pack formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
Coil life, liquid cost and the mint habit
We run mint the same way in Bristol: same refill pack, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Mint prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Bristol that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within £1.61 per 10 ml.
The short version: mint in Bristol works if the refill pack, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a mint refill pack really costs in Bristol
We run mint the same way in Bristol: same refill pack, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested mint in a refill pack
- Pick the refill pack that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Coil type inside the refill pack, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Stock depth: 16 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a refill pack arrives sealed but wrong.
Where mint goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a refill pack and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Buying the cheapest refill pack available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Chasing a discount on a refill pack that then needs an adapter nobody in Bristol stocks.
The rules that apply here
UK rules cap e-liquids at 10 ml and 20 mg/ml, with batch codes on every bottle.
Wholesale lines to the UK need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should mint start at?
Start at whatever the UK allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a refill pack.
Is mint legal to sell in the UK?
UK rules cap e-liquids at 10 ml and 20 mg/ml, with batch codes on every bottle.
How long does mint in a refill pack last?
In Bristol we measured 3 to 16 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
