Licorice pen device Coil in Bristol: the price shortlist
Licorice in Bristol: 10 units tested over 3 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
How to tell a good pen device from a repack
Licorice prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Bristol that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within £1.86 per 10 ml.
We run licorice the same way in Bristol: same pen device, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: licorice in Bristol works if the pen device, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a licorice pen device really costs in Bristol
The honest read on licorice: 10 units through the same routine over 3 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested licorice in a pen device
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is 20 mg/mL in the UK, not a suggestion.
- Stock depth: 10 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Coil type inside the pen device, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every licorice bottle shipped into Bristol.
Where licorice goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a pen device that then needs an adapter nobody in Bristol stocks.
- Assuming 20 mg/mL is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Bristol accept nicotine freight.
