Coil life, liquid cost and the iced habit
A iced prefilled pod from the pre-order options in Bristol costs about £2.95 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Iced prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Bristol that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within £2.95 per 10 ml.
Below is the run we did for this search: 18 units, prefilled pod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a iced prefilled pod really costs in Bristol
The honest read on iced: 18 units through the same routine over 7 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested iced in a prefilled pod
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 2–4 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a prefilled pod arrives sealed but wrong.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where iced goes wrong
- Treating the advertised £65 entry kit as the real cost when refills run £2.95 per 10 ml.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long iced in Bristol survives.
- Assuming 20 mg/mL is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to the UK need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
UK rules cap e-liquids at 10 ml and 20 mg/ml, with batch codes on every bottle.
